Brayan Villar is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Belleville, NJ who attends Belleville High School. Medium build, lean frame with long limbs and room to fill. In the field, got to the ball well and showed some arm strength hitting 83 from the outfield. At the plate, used a wide base and slightly closed stance. Slight drift with an inside hand path. Contact oriented approach, inside swing, and works the opposite field well. On the mound, used a three quarter arm slot with slight collapse onto back side. Worked fastball 76-80 with late life and threw for strikes. Slider flashed tilt and showed a straight changeup. Would do well to incorporate lower half more in delivery. Good student.
