Ben Pearman is a 2023 RHP/C/3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Alabaster, AL who attends Thompson. Strong athletic build for a freshman, especially in the lower half. Athletic delivery with good direction and tempo, arm is fast and loose coming through. Works aggressively early in the count with his fastball and throws strikes with it, topped out at 84 mph with good riding life. Power curveball is a solid pitch, has some downer bit with tight spin. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a long and strong swing, gets too far inside the ball at times but shows bat speed and power potential when he can turn the barrel. Interesting young athlete with a very good arm and solid overall athleticism. Good student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
