Patrick Ferrante is a 2019 OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Wall, NJ who attends St. Rose High School. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout, addtional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 5.26 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields to side of body and works into a longer arm stroke through the back, shortens at release, gets on top of ball and shows carry on throws, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set pull back with a high back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Full swing path through the zone, mostly linear with occasional lift out front at point of contact. Keeps hands inside the ball and creates contact to all fields, rising line drive contact when on time and balanced. Good student.
