Jason Slaughter is a 2018 2B/SS, 3B, MIF with a 5-8 146 lb. frame from Durham, NC who attends Orange High School. Smaller build, has a lean frame with room to grow, looks young. A primary infielder, has a three-quarter arm slot and a quick transfer into his throwing motion and a quick release. Moves well and has some arm strength as shown in his 76 mph throws from the infield. Has a short, compact swing that helped him to generate line drive contact. Sprays the ball to all field and has a deeper load, flashed some potential in the lower half by clearing his hips and showed some torque. Has a big leg kick and and flashed use of solid weight transfer. Will develop more power as he adds size and strength. Good student.
