Rj Johnson is a 2022 2B/IF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Nanuet, NY who attends Nanuet. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward and develop physically. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, deliberate tempo to actions on the approach, clean funnel and glove skills play both forehand and backhand, quick release from the glove, showed the ability to change slot going up the middle, arm strength will continue to develop. Left-handed hitter, narrow and upright stance at the plate with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Rotational swing, contact oriented approach and generates some loft at the point of contact. Can continue to add strength frame, incorporates lower half well, consistent contact skills at the plate.
