Kai Osaka is a 2019 C with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends The Bush School. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. Right handed hitter, straight stance, as simple and direct a swing as one will see, hits relaxed and under control with no wasted movement, gets loaded on his back side, line drive middle of the field approach, very consistent and repeatable mechanics, 3-3 one game with everything on a line, some thing in batting practice, flashed some pull power on his pitch. low set up on defense, compact actions, very sound fundamentals that he repeats blocking and throwing, has flexibility and will continue to grow his strength and quickness. Interesting young player with very advanced skills. Good student.
