Kody Bruton is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Richland, WA who attends Richland HS. Broad shouldered young build, projects well physically. Runs very well for his age, 7.18 in the sixty, quick and compact arm action from the outfield, throws have good carry and are accurate. Right handed hitter, spread stance with a a big leg lift trigger, leg lift will get him off balance at times but provides limited weight shift into contact, has some young strength and the beginnings of some bat speed, line drive swing plane. Also pitched, rock and fire delivery, cross fire angle to the plate due to under rotation of front side, 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball very well prior to release and has some deception. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, has some running life and can pitch to the glove side well. Sweeping curveball with different shapes in the upper 60's. Good young athlete who should keep improving in all areas. Good student.
