Matt Erickson is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Boulder, CO who attends Fairview High School. Medium build, athletic frame with long limbs and room to continue to fill out. Posted a 7.29 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary left handed pitcher, smooth arm action with a compact delivery and was consistent with his delivery. Fastball worked 78-80/81 mph with run and the ability to elevate it and work inside on hitters. Curveball showed 11-5 break with good depth and late break at 71 mph for strikes. At the plate, started open with a stride to the ball. Created good leverage with a line drive swing plane and showed the ability to create lift. Additional bat speed would improve the consistency in the swing. Exceptional student.
