Chaison Miklich is a 2018 1B/RHP with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Desert Oasis HS. Miklich has a large frame and frame. Hit from a square stance, has a power approach with good swing plane and bat speed. Has good extension out front and the ball will jump off barrel. Was aggressive with bat and got barrel to ball. Defensively, good lateral movement around base, feet work well, will stick at first base with bat. Also pitched, short compact delivery with few moving parts, repeats mechanics well. Gathers well at balance point and stays tall on the back side. Stays online with good direction to plate. Release point was tight with a 3/4 slot with a quick arm action. Fastball had good down plane with arm side run. Fastball got on hitters. Curbeball showed 9/4 shape and flashed depth while maintaining arm speed.
