Jack Brimacombe is a 2018 RHP/SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley North. Medium, athletic build with well-proportioned frame and plenty of room to project additional strength at physical maturity. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step into leg lift, slight hip turn at coil at apex of lift. Solid body control and athleticism, able to repeat delivery well for age. Medium-extended arm-action with slight wrap on backside, gets thru pretty well. Fastball up to 78 mph, some sink and occasional cut action on the pitch, able to throw strikes, pitch plays best when located down in the zone. Worked in a mid-60s curveball with inconsistent break, best offerings had 11/5 shape and flashed quality depth, has the makings of a solid second pitch. Also worked out in the infield, still developing actions, has solid instincts, could shorten transfer and release. Right handed hitter, has solid hitting tools. Wider base, medium leg lift trigger with bat wrap start, has bat speed to work through well and whip barrel out. Gets extended and shows solid jump off of the barrel. Quality potential on both sides of the ball. Good student.
