Hunter Koep is a 2017 RHP/3B, 1B, OF with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Northfield, MN who attends Northfield HS. Large frame, strong build, clear sign of present strength and maturity. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed hitter that throws from an over the top arm slot, short arm action. Good tempo to delivery, repeats well, may see more velocity with consistent use of lower half. Fastball works down in the zone, great arm side run, some late sink to it as well. 10/4 shape on slider, good tilt and tight bite. Has feel and command for both pitches. Maintains velocity out of stretch. From the infield, moves well laterally, good range, good arm strength, throws are online with carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with deep hand set and an open stance. Leg lift trigger, deep hand load, middle of the field approach, good bat speed, ball jumps of barrel, aggressive swings, generates good back spin and carry, raw strength and potential at the plate. Projects well. Named to Midwest Under Top Prospect List.
