Patrick Rauseo is a 2017 2B/OF, SS, RHP with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Hudson, NH who attends Alvirne High School. Youn, athletic frame with square shoulder and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout, shows present strength. Excellent runner, posted a 6.58 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, quick transfer out of glove, extra step at release, short arm action through the back on throws across, can throw accurately from multiple arm slots. Also pitched, deliberate tempo to delivery, simple mechanics and able to repeat. Short arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, shows subtle life to arm side, throws strikes and pitches to contact, flashed a curveball with 12-6 shape at 68 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow and an upright stance in the box. Uses a toe tap trigger to initiate timing, shows quick hands and a short swing path to the ball. Contact approach in the box and shows a feel for the barrel, line drive swing plane and ball comes off the barrel nicely. Occasionally gets to front side early, direct to the ball, works the middle and pull side parts of the field. Good student. Named to Northeast Top-Top Prospect List.
