Henry Coquillard is a 2017 1B/3B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Pacific Palisades, CA who attends Palisades Charter HS. Large frame with an athletic build and present strength. Projects for additional size with strength. Left handed hitter with a tall, open stance and high back elbow set. Loose, lofted swing plane through extension. Shows good balance with a gap to gap approach. Swings with intent and looks to lift the baseball deep into the gaps. Has the ability to turn barrel and produce loud contact to the pull side gap. Worked out defensively from first base showing clean glove actions while funneling with smooth paced glove to hand exchanges. Long arm stab at separation with a loose arm action at release. Throws produce good carry across the infield with accuracy, topped at 75 mph. Outstanding student as well.
