2016 Sunshine Southeast Showcase
Samuel Edington is a 2018 C/UT with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Knoxville Christian High School. Medium frame and athletic build with room to continue to develop physically. Posted a 7.57 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher who showed good footwork and solid arm strength with a top pop time of 2.12. Also worked out in the outfield with a smooth release and solid arm strength up to 80 mph. At the plate, started with an open base and a medium hand set. Swung with a line drive plane with an up the middle and pull approach with some bat speed. Showed raw strength that would be put to better use with more lower half involvement. Very good student.
