Shakur Jackson is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-8 168 lb. frame from Rock Island, IL who attends Rock Island. Solid, smaller athletic frame with room to fill. Slightly open stance at the plate and loads hands to a strong position. Looks to pull ball with quick hip actions. Shows bat speed when on time and should develop more with time. Clean footwork and soft hands in the infield. Fields ball cleanly backhand and glove side. Throws with accuary across infield with good carry. Topped at 80 mph across. Athletic player. Good Student.
