2016 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Baylor Cumbea is a 2018 2B/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Midlothian, VA who attends Midlothian High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.83 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fielded the ball clean, good arm strength, developing transfer, and raw arm strength up to 80 mph. At the plate, started with an open stance, narrow base, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Showed ability to torque through lower half, inconsistent swing path and a linear swing plane. Worked up the middle of the field with developing bat speed. Additional lower half in swing will aid consistency in contact. Very good student.
