Joshua Cobb is a 2018 2B/OF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge HS. Compact frame, young athletic build with room to fill out. Solid athlete with body control and nice footspeed, ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Left handed hitter, high back elbow set with medium leg lift trigger. Aggressive swing, gets whole body into it, can dip backside at times and lose control of barrel. When in rhythm shows good hand-eye coordination. Has ability to use the entire field, shows comfort in working from gap-to-gap. Should continue to improve at plate with additional strength and bat speed at physical maturity. Solid defensive fundamentals, shows ability to field out in front and work through the baseball. Gets on top of throws, accurate throws to the bag, up to 77 mph in defensive drills. Very good student.
