2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Evan Condon is a 2018 RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, short rock step moving into delivery, leg lift just above belt with slight pause while getting tall on back side; shows a full arm swing through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Showed ability to work on top of the baseball, ball comes out well and was able to miss barrels, up to 85 mph and commanded the zone well. Occasionally gets across body at release and causes pitches to cut, mostly true in terms of life on fastball. Curveball served as quality secondary pitch, up to 70 mph with 11-5 shape and depth, able to miss bats with the pitch. Flashed a slider with short bite and sweeping finish at 79 mph. Named to Fall National Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student. Verbal commitment to South Carolina Aiken.
