Quinn Costello is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Edmond, OK who attends Edmond Santa Fe HS. Large, athletic build with a long and lean projectable frame and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, stays compact from hand break and short through backside with a high three-quarter arm slot. Loads on backside and drives towards the plate, opens front side early at times, showed a full three-pitch mix. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, mostly true out of hand. Showed a feel for curveball, big break with 1-7 shape and changeup at 68 mph that featured late depth to arm side. Field out front from the outfield, short arm action through the back, high slot release with accuracy to the bag. Left-handed hitter, starts with a narrow, upright stance with a small toe tap trigger at beginning of swing. Upper body swing, does a nice job covering the plate and shows ability to hit to all fields. Quick path to the ball with line drive contact, occasionally gets to front side early, stays inside the ball on swing. Very good student.
