Tyler Gray is a 2019 C/3B, 1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Norfolk, MA who attends Dexter. Large, well-built frame with quality strength throughout body with good physical projection remaining, as well. Hits from narrow, upright stance with high hand set, drops hands into load, noisy swing that generates good bat speed, shows quick hands/wrists with strength, slightly lofted swing, mostly linear bat path, shows good strength off the barrel with ability to drive the baseball into the air and into both gaps with authority. Present gap to gap power with good projection for more and more HR power as swing continues to develop. Worked out defensively behind the plate at the catcher position. Shows strong arm behind the plate, with short arm action and quick release, throwing 75 MPH and popping as low as 2.28 seconds down to 2B. Accurate throws to target with consistency. Good student.
