Grant Warford is a 2016 3B/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Shawnee, KS who attends Mill Valley. Medium, athletic frame with a broad and mature build, present strength throughout. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows a short arm action on throws across, slight effort at release, gets on top of throws and has accuracy across, short steps to the ball, has ability to make throws from multiple arm slots. Right-handed hitters, starts with hands pulled back and a knee raise trigger. Upper body swing, simple mechanics with hands inside the ball and repeats it well. Occasionally gets to front foot early, shorter path to the ball with consistent contact and strength to pull side. Good carry off the barrel when squared up. Very good student.
