Tyson Tucker is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Orange Park, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Medium build on a slender, lean frame. Recorded a 60-yard dash time of 7.21. Primary pitcher with a short arm action and good arm speed. Delivery is clean and lands online. Located pitches well and did a good job of filling up the strike zone. Showed some athleticism on the mound and has a bit of deception in his delivery. Fastball sat from 77-80 mph with occasional downward sink and was best when in the lower third of the strike zone. Mixed in a curveball that showed shape and depth. Changeup had good downward action and the same arm speed as the fastball. Showed sound outfield actions with some arm strength and good carry on his throws. Up the middle approach at the plate and swings with intent. Shifts well into contact with and showed a feel for getting the barrel of the bat on the ball. Great student.
