Zachary Strickland is a 2019 C/UT with a 5-10 177 lb. frame from Pleasant Hill, IA who attends Southeast Polk HS. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. Solid player defensively, has good lower half flexibility and shifts well behind the plate, stays low presenting his target and is a willing blocker, repeats his exchange and release well and makes accurate throws in games, works hard defensively and has good feel for the game. Left handed hitter, upright open stance, hand drop load, inside swing path with a downward swing plane, contact approach, lets the ball travel deep and works from the mid to opposite fields. Excellent student.
