Connor Staine is a 2019 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Clinton, NJ who attends West Morris Central. Large frame with long, lanky build; body projects well moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, big leg kick to load back, balances well on backside and drives downhill, shows arm speed, throws from high three quarters slot with good plane to the plate, low effort delivery with excellent projection. Fastball worked 81-85 mph and peaked at 86, showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth, also worked in slider with more horizontal movement and some bite. Also mixed in changeup with good arm speed. Four pitch arsenal with command and projection, good upside arm. Verbally committed to Maryland, named to 2018 Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
