Holden Lane is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Groves, TX who attends Port Neches-Groves HS. Extra thick and strong build, football look. Has a loose arm for his size and build and has nice whip and extension out front, compact high hand arm action with a tight 3/4's slot coming through, some effort on release but works through it well, especially from the windup. Steady mid-80's fastball, gets flat arm side running action. Showed good depth and spin on his curveball when on top of it. Rare change up. Two-way prospect who showed good bat speed at the plate and a right handed power approach, can back spin the ball to the middle of the field and get carry, gets the ball into the air and drives it. Good student.
