Tyler Thibodeaux is a 2017 C/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Breaux Bridge, LA who attends Breaux Bridge HS. Medium-large frame with solid present build throughout; projects very well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.17 seconds. Sets up to hit with wide-spread base, leans back into load and will dip back shoulder, inside-out swing path with intent to hit the ball to the opposite field. Has strength in swing when on time. Mostly line drive plane, consistently hit liners the opposite way. Showed well defensively behind the plate. Good athleticism and quickness when catching, receives well and has very quick and efficient transfer. Threw consistently accurate down to 2nd base, online, with good arm strength up to 78 MPH. Popped as low as 1.97 seconds. Pitched as well, employs shorter arm action up to overtop slot, generates good plane to the plate. FB worked 78-81 MPH and touched 82, finds the bottom of the zone consistently and is hard to square up. Worked quickly and kept hitters off balance. Good student.
