Nick Diaz is a 2019 C/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Bridgewater, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; very good projection remaining. Ran extremely well, posted a 4.73 seconds 40 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from slightly open, spread-out stance with medium-high hand set. Smaller leg lift trigger with good balance, showed very quick hands with legitimate bat speed coming through, has good lift in swing and hits the ball into the air consistently, drove quite a few deep to the pull field. Repeated swing mechanics well and projects for big power as he develops. Worked out defensively behind the plate, good quickness and athleticism back there, receives well and explodes out of crouch, shows quick arm with quick release, very consistently accurate to the glove with arm strength up to 73 MPH and pop times as low as 1.97 seconds. Very good student; named to 2017 Northeast Indoor Showcase-NJ Top Prospect List.
