Brett Suchy is a 2007 MIF/OF from Hinsdale Central in Hinsdale, IL, with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame and good overall body l He ran the 60 in 7.53 and threw 73 mph during infield drills. Suchy has quick transfers and release on his throws and a quick arm and low release. His actions are best suited for second base. He also played some outfield at the showcase. At the plate, such hits from a narrow stance with a busy hand load. He tends to drop his back shoulder during his swing and create an upper cut swing plane. Suchy has quick hands and creates good bat speed and lofted a couple balls pretty well. He's looking to pull the ball and attacks it aggressively when he gets his pitch. Suchy showed the ability to lay off pitches he couldn't handle and attack the ones in his hitting zone. He's a sound all around hitter who should keep developing. Such is also an outstanding student.
