Mackenzie Palmer is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from West Windsor, NJ who attends West Windsor-Plainsboro North High School. Lean, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 5.13 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with quick footwork and works through it well with a big crow hop to gain momentum, long exchange working to a lower and extended arm action, shows quickness and very good present arm strength. Also pitched, short arm action in the back with a three-quarters release point, lands slightly closed with foot but fill up the zone. Worked exclusively out of the stretch, fastball topped out at 80 mph with some heavy life to bottom of zone, slider featured tilting life with same quick arm stroke at 72 mph. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a big leg lift trigger for timing and has some moving parts at start of swing. Quick hands, shows comfort hitting to the opposite field, line drive swing plane with present bat speed and line drive contact off barrel, shows strength.
