Drew Hudson is a 2019 2B/SS, OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Portsmouth, NH who attends Portsmouth High School. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, fields the ball out front with some bend at waist, works through the ball, gets all at release and can continue to work low through release, shows range going up the middle, sound transfer with quickness to release, gets on top of throws, arm strength will continue develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and narrow base with a high hand set. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box, creates torque in load and works to all fields at point of contact. Linear swing path through the zone, comes off the barrel well to pull side when on time with shift, shows balance through mechanics. Very good student.
