Rob Bailey is a 2018 SS/ with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Abington, PA who attends Archbishop Wood HS. Well-built with a very lean frame and a ton of room to add strength and fill out. Ran a 60-yard dash in 7.48 seconds. Primary shortstop with good instincts and a quick first step. Footwork is solid and he moves through his throws well. Very quick release and good feel for the overall position. Arm strength is currently developing but sound foundational tools to be an impact defender. Righthanded hitter with a spread open stance. Lower hand set with a small leg lift trigger into the swing. Projectable bat and stays on plane well through the swing. Line drive swing plane with an up the middle approach. Quick and easy trigger into the swing with a repeatable path to contact. Shifts weight well through contact and power should continue to increase as he adds strength.
