Brock Watkins is a 2019 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Pleasant Grove, UT who attends Pleasant Grove. Medium frame with an athletic build and present strength. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.70 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with clean, athletic footwork while surrounding the baseball. Displayed good lateral range with fluid glove actions while funneling. Primarily released from a compact arm slot, but showed the ability to release from multiple arm slot with accuracy. Topped at 85 miles per hour across the infield. Right handed hitter with an upright, narrow base and compact leg lift trigger. Loose, fluid path to contact with a naturally leverage barrel plane. Stays balanced at contact point with present strength and bat speed, ball jumped off the barrel with authority to each gap. Good student. Named to the 2018 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
