Matthew Roth is a 2018 1B/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Coral Reef Senior. Strong medium build with good physicality. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.14 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with a bit narrow set, toe tap trigger, line drive swing plane with inside-out hand path, shows solid bat speed through the zone with approach to all fields. Hardest contact was to pull field. Worked out at 1st base, clean hands, fields ball easily out front with good funnel, turns well and shows balance, clocked up to 75 mph on throws. Pitched as well, overtop arm slot with twisty delivery downhill, uptempo, fastball worked 68-72 mph with cutting action to glove side. Showed curveball with 12/6 shape and gradual depth; also flashed changeup with slight fade.
