Bryce Mitchell is a 2018 OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Northwest HS. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.70 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, mechanical footwork while closing and working through the baseball. Athletic glove actions with a clean, extended glove to hand transfer. Released from a loose, extended arm action that produced good on line carry to the bag at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance and high back elbow set. Lower half shows rotational actions to contact that generate some shift into contact. Stays on back side while hands launch on a downhill plane to contact. Stays very balanced throughout swing plane with a mid-field approach. Consistently delivered the barrel to baseball producing line drive contact between the outfield gaps throughout batting practice.
