Ryan Gogerty is a 2018 OF/SS with a 5-10 162 lb. frame from Basking Ridge, NJ who attends Ridge HS. Gogerty has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. Defensively he attacks the ball well in the outfield and plays through the baseball well. Gogerty has solid outfield actions with quick transfers and release. His arm works well and he showed good arm strength up to 85 MPH. At the plate, Gogerty starts with a wide base and uses a toe tap trigger. He has a high hand set and uses a quick foot up foot down to start his swing. Gogerty has some bat speed and he showed a ground ball approach in BP. He doesn't get his backside through on his swing and projects for more bat speed and pop with improved lower half mechanics. Very good student.
