Chris Lopez is a 2018 MIF/RHP, OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Calexico, CA who attends Imperial Valley. Lopez has a smaller frame with a lean build. Defensively he has solid footwork to the baseball with solid infield actions. Lopez has good hands with a quick release. He has developing arm strength up to 69 MPH across the infield and 74 MPH from the outfield. Lopez has raw actions in the outfield. At the plate, Lopez starts with a deeper hand set and uses a leg twist load to start his swing. He has a longer swing with developing bat speed. Lopez made middle of the field contact with lots of ground balls. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He gets good extension out front and he gets some cut on his fastball. Lopez throws an 11/5 curveball with big break. Good student.
