Terrance Thornton is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Stone Mountain, GA who attends Chamblee Charter. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders, a lean and projectable build and room to fill with additional strength throughout body. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, high set behind the plate with shorter arm action on throws, accurate to the base, mostly upper body at release and will continue to develop arm strength with incorporation of lower half. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide, spread base and a slight crouch in the box. Raises hands at start of swing and can start late at times, upper body swing with a line drive swing plane coming through the zone. Contact approach with an inside path and short swing through the ball, will continue to develop with weight shift in lower half. Good student.
