Jeffrey Bland is a 2007 C/OF from Immaculata High School in Basking Ridge, NJ, with a strong 5'10'', 195 lb. frame. Defensively he has good catching fundamentals with quick and compact actions, and shows great hustle. He is a good receiver with nice hands, and he moves his feet well blocking balls in the dirt. He is a solid all-around catcher with an accurate arm. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a no load approach. He uncoils on the ball showing good bat speed, strength and power in his swing. Bland has a line drive swing plane and uses his hands well to hit. Currently he is a gap to gap hitter with projectable power. He is a fun player to watch and he will give a coach everything that he has. He is also a very good student.
