White is a 6-0, 190 lb sophomore catcher from Texas with good present strength for his age. He ran the 60 in 7.90 and threw a strong 73 mph during drills with a best pop time of 2.14. White's arm strength is very good for a 15 year old catcher and should develop futher. He's a good overall defensive catcher who is good at blocking balls. White has the strength to develop bat speed but had some real mechanical issues with the wood bat that he might not have with metal. He had virtually no extension to the ball with his hands and just pivoted around his core. We expect we'd see a different hitter with metal. Overall, White is a promising young defensive receiver who could show quick improvement offensively. He is a good student.
