Alec Dumas is a 2017 SS/OF/2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Cary, NC who attends Panther Creek HS. Dumas has a medium build with room to fill out and add strength. Hits from a slightly open stance, line drive swing plane with pull approach. Shows good bat speed and plate coverage. Aggressive at plate, showed pull power potential. Had some looseness and whip in barrel coming through zone. Defensively, compact arm action, low lost on release point, accurate throws. Actions work, good balance charging.
