Mike Kilner is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Cleveland, OH who attends Padua Franciscan. Large frame with broad shoulders, sturdy athletic build with present strength in both upper and lower body. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance, hand drop trigger with deeper load. Good bat speed and strength, works to pullside with ability to get consistent extension, with ability to pepper line drives there, also flashes good carry and jump. Also worked to opposite field in game-action, going with pitches on outer-half, solid overall hitting approach and execution. Primary catcher, has quickness to actions, particularly in exchange, transfer. Developing footwork, has solid arm strength and throws to bases were accurate, popped a 2.03 in defensive drills.
