Brent Williams is a 2018 3B/IF with a 5-7 192 lb. frame from Hammond, LA who attends Hammond HS. Compact frame, sturdy build with broad shoulders and present strength and physicality throughout body. Right handed hitter, high back elbow with leg lift trigger. Can drift at times, wants to impact the ball, swings hard. Flashes solid bat speed with some strength coming off of the barrel. Natural uphill plane, wants to try and lift the ball, has some hitting tools to work with. Worked out in the infield, fields the ball out in front, has a full arm-action and works to an upright release. Solid hands with short steps to the ball, accurate throws across the diamond, showed ability to make the routine plays, but could work on shortening up transfer to release. Good student.
