LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2017 Rocky Mountain Showcase
Troy Lincavage is a 2018 RHP/IF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend. Large frame with broad shoulder and a strong build. Ran a 7.19 sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced on back side at gather with slight rock back and shoulder tilt. Swings front side slightly while working to the plate but finishes in line with front side and carries momentum to plate. Hides the baseball well at separation and released from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Fastball had solid life through the zone with heavy actions and run to arm side in the low to mid 80's, topped at 86 miles per hour. Curveball had 9/4 shape with good spin and solid sweep to glove side in the mid 70's. Maintains arm speed well with a changeup offering that had some wiggle to arm side in the mid 70's. Aggressively attacked the strike zone with fastball early and finished hitters with off speed. Worked out defensively from the infield and first base. From the infield showed smooth paced footwork while surrounding the baseball with clean glove actions while funneling. Clean, smooth exchanges while working through exchange and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Topped at 83 miles per hour creating accurate carry to the bag. From first base should similar glove actions with athletic footwork while pivoting to second base. Right handed hitter with an upright, narrow stance and simple front side trigger. Loose path to contact with a naturally leverage barrel plane through extension. Showed the ability to drop barrel head to pitches located down in the zone and drive them with authority. Primarily worked between the outfield gaps consistently repeatable path and plane through finish. Good student. Named to the 2017 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
