Yordy Cabrera is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Jackson HS. Big and strong physical build with broad slopped shoulders, looks bigger than listed and has physical presence on the mound. Slow paced side step delivery, full loose arm action. pitches under control and repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, worked steadily at 89-91 for three innings without dropping under, gets lots of sinking and running life on his fastball and throws it to spots. Showed a full array of secondary pitches. Had confidence in his change up and developed better and better as he used it, slowed his arm some but got good life and come deception on the pitch. Short slider gets off the barrel, rare curveball for another look. Polished pitcher with a next level body and delivery. Signed with Palm Beach State.
