Lawrence Carpenter is a 2022 RHP/MIF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Albany, GA who attends Terrell Academy. Recorded a 7.23 second 60-yard dash time. Lean frame with a lot of room to add strength and fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher with a small rocker step into a leg lift above the belt. Clean, online arm action with a high three-quarters slot and moderate effort at release. Competes on the mound and the arm stroke is quick. Slider has short, horizontal break to it and the curveball shows a bit better depth. Good feel for locating to the glove side. Sells the changeup with arm speed. Solid operation and stuff and projects with strength. Arm strength plays well from secondary position of the middle infield. Right-handed hitter with an open stance and a deep hand load. Stays on plane well and loads weight onto the backside. Longer swing with a low hand start and looks to drive the ball into the air. Tremendous student.
