2023 New York Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Luke Monico is a 2024 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Ramsey, NJ who attends Ramsey. Medium, high waisted frame with square shoulders and room to add strength. Primary middle-infielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Displayed proper footwork into the fielding process, a clean funnel out in-front and plenty of lateral range from side-to-side. Showed ability to change arm slots when necessary and recorded arm strength up to 85 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Short, compact stroke with consistent bat-to-ball skills and plenty of present hand speed. Flashed burgeoning gap-to-gap power potential in-game action that will continue to expand with additional strength. Athletic, fundamentally sound prospect with offensive prowess and upside on both sides of the baseball. Will continue to improve with minor mechanical refinements. Good Student. Named to the 2023 New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
