Sammy Leis is a 2022 C/RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Denmark. Nice young athletic body with plenty of projection remaining. 6.82 runner in the sixty. Very good defensive catcher, has bounce and lower body life, comes out of his crouch well, footwork is advanced, very accurate throws both in games and in between innings, chance to be an elite level catcher defensively. Right handed hitter, big hand hitch to start his swing, short and compact swing with an inside swing path, short enough to get the barrel out but hitch presents timing issues occasionally. Verbal commitment to Alabama.
