Zack Budzik is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Stallings, NC who attends Sun Valley. Medium frame with slender, athletic frame; body projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.87 seconds. Sets up to hit with balanced stance, wide-based with high back elbow and high hand set. Line drive swing plane with feel to go to all fields, toe tap trigger, gets hands going on time, will drive the ball better with continued strength gains. Worked out defensively in the infield, showing well there. Gets to ball well with smooth footwork and easy strides, bends well and fields cleanly with soft, sure hands. Transfers cleanly and throws accurately across the infield, topping at 79 MPH on the gun. Very good student.
