Jack Cannizzaro is a 2022 C/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Woodcliff Lake, NJ who attends Don Bosco Prep. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, slight turn behind plate in drills, receives the ball out front, quick with the exchange, can implement additional footwork into release, around the bag and shows carry on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a gliding leg lift trigger moving into contact. Starts with hands pulled back, sees the barrel well in the box and aggressive at the plate. Long swing path through the zone, can continue to unlock additional strength, keeps hands inside the ball and looks to pull it at the point of contact. Excellent student.
