Nick Anello is a 2021 RHP/MIF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Fort Lauderdale, FL who attends American Heritage HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and nice physical strength proportioned well throughout build. Primary righthanded pitcher, multi-part delivery with moving parts, leg lift and tuck at start, shows his athleticism on mound and remains directional with lower half towards the plate. Works to a higher slot on release and shows plenty of arm speed, hides it through the back and ball explodes out of hand. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, generates plane to the pitch and attacked hitters with the pitch. Secondaries continue to make progress, feel for curveball and went to it often, short depth up to 68 mph; maintains arm speed better on changeup and shows proper spin at release with some fading life at 74 mph. Very good student. Named to PG Underclass Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Miami.
